A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ukwa East/West of Abia State, Chris Nkwonta has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This was announced on the floor of the House during plenary by the Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, in Abuja on Wednesday, October 2.
