The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a woman, Khadija Umar AKA Naira and two of her sons for housebreaking and theft. The spokesperson of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, said the trio was arrested by police operatives attached to Angwan Lambu Division. According to the PPRO, Khadija goes around monitoring residents of a particular area the gang wants to strike. When the coast is clear, she uses two of her biological children and two other suspects still at large to carry out their nefarious activities. “Consequently, two television sets, two 66 mattresses, a gas cooker, and 12kg cylinder, a standing fan, a GoTv decoder, cooking pots, an electric jug, a refrigerator and solar panels suspected to have been stolen items were recovered from the suspect as exhibits, DSP Nansel said.The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered a manhunt for the other fleeing suspects. The CP also directed the Divisional Police officer to charge the suspects to court for prosecution upon the conclusion of the investigation.
