An official in the Nigerian national football team, Super Eagles, has revealed that they are awaiting the scan result of the teams first-choice goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, following an injury he picked up during Nigerias AFCON Round of 16 match against Cameroon. Nwabali was stretched off the pitch after colliding with Cameroons Georges-Kevin NKoudou in the 72nd minute. Babafemi Raji, the teams media officer has now revealed that Nwabali sustained a knee injury. Raji allayed fears about the severity of the injury by stating that the result of the scan is still being awaited. He said; Yes, he had a test/scan yesterday, and we are waiting for the result of the scan. I think hes done well so far, so good with trying to recover from the injury, and the medics are really working hard on him.I dont think its anything too serious that will rule him out of the tournament. But we just have to wait until we hear the result of the scan. The post AFCON: Super Eagles still awaiting Nwabalis injury scan result Official appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
