Two persons have been injured following a gunmen attack on the convoy of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the House of Representatives, Lagos Mainland Constituency, Segun Gbayi. The gunmen opened fire on the convoy at Makoko area, Yaba, Lagos, including the security operatives in it. Gbayi who escaped the attack unhurt, said the attack was to prevent members and supporters of the party from exercising their franchise in tomorrows election. He said; This attack was violently carried out to discourage us from exercising our political franchise.
