All Local Government Chairman and Councillors elected on October 15 during the local government elections conducted by Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, have been sacked by a Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State capital.PDP had approached the court, asking it to stop OSIEC from going ahead with the planned polls.Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel who delivered the judgement on Friday, November 25, ruled thatthe election conducted by OSIEC contravened Sections 29 and 32 of the Electoral Act, 2022.He said;The election held on 15 October 2022 is hereby declared unconstitutional, invalid, null and void.
